Recruiting Report: Camden Arndt (2019)
One of the most versatile competitors we’ve seen in Minnesota this spring has been Morris Area/Comets K 2019 Camden Arndt. Need somebody to step up and play a role? Any role? Camden has you covered.
Morris Area was a .500 team a year ago but everyone is aware of what is coming from this program. Camden and fellow senior-to-be Jaret Johnson are talented players coming back after leading the team in scoring and then there is Jackson Loge, a low post player that averaged double figures last year as an eighth grader.
“Next year we will have our top three scores back which will really help and I think we will be much more experienced next year to be able to make a run to state,” Arndt said. “Next year I just really want to get a consistent jump shot and be a leader so we can win as many games as possible.”
Camden has played a big role in the success that Comets K has had this year pushing their way into the top ten in state and at one point the top five. They play some of the best team basketball at the 17u level in the state.
“We have come out and surprised a lot of teams winning a lot of games despite having a couple injures,” Arndt said. “Obviously we want to win as many games as possible and win some tournaments but also we want to get better individually as well.”
Arndt is also a standout football player who will have the option of playing college football and/or college basketball.
“For basketball I’ve had Augustana, Southwest Minnesota State, St. Cloud State, Concordia-Moorhead show interest and for football South Dakota State, North Dakota, and Minnesota-Duluth have shown interest.
“I had a South Dakota State football visit June 10th and camp June 11th, and I plan to go to North Dakota camp also. For basketball I plan to go to St. Cloud State, Southwest Minnesota State, and Augustana camps.”
