Dailey Attracting Early D1 Interest
Brayden Dailey wasn’t considered one of the early impact freshman in Wisconsin’s 2021 class prior to the 2017-18 season. However, after one viewing, it was clear that Dailey was primed for a special career. Playing alongside 2020 sharpshooter Isaac Lindsey, Dailey averaged a team-high 21.3 points per game, leading Mineral Point to a 21-5 overall record and a SWAL conference title.
This spring, Dailey has started to generate Division 1 interest.
After a camp stop at Marquette, Dailey spoke with head coach Steve Wojciechowski.
“We were at Marquette team camp and got to meet and talk with ‘Wojo’,” said Dailey. “He and his assistants watched two and a half of my games up close.”
Dailey is heading to Wisconsin’s team camp this week. He’ll also return to Madison for their elite camp.
“Coach Krabbenhoft (Joe Krabbenhoft) attended one of my games in Minneapolis (in the spring),” Dailey said.
Dailey also received a camp invite from UW-Green Bay, but will be away at the Northern Iowa team camp that day.
Colorado State has also expressed interest in hosting the 6-foot-5 combo forward.
“They want to come up and watch an open gym,” Dailey explained.
Iowa is currently sending mail Dailey’s way as well.
Following his stellar freshman campaign, Dailey is up to No. 4 in our class of 2021 rankings. A versatile, skilled forward with a deadly 3-point stroke, Dailey, at the very least appears primed to be a highly sought after mid-major prospect with power-five potential.
Dailey plays for the Wisconsin Swing during the travel season.
