Here is a look at the top 10 prospects in Charlotte for the 2019 class.
Wendell Moore (Cox Mill HS)-Very Skilled and versatile player that knows how to win, can play the 1-5 positions due to his skill level and height. Has a great IQ for the game, plays both ends of the floor with good energy and stays out of foul trouble. Is a young player for his grade level which makes him that much more intriguing.
Jaelyn Withers (North Meck HS)-Player that has seen a huge jump in his recruitment over the last few months, he’s a versatile player that can play inisde as well as step outside and score it. Numerous times throughout the season and summer we saw him put togeher some double/doubles in points and rebounds.
Patrick Williams (West Charlotte)-A big guard who has size, length , athlticism to go along with a great skill set and natural feel for the game. He can score off the dribble and is a match-up nightmare with his size. He can score over smaller guards and can take it in the paint and finish against bigs.
Donovan Gregory (Carmel Christian)-Really began to blowup on the recruiting scene after a 30 point game at the Hoopsgiving Tournament this past year. Has very nice athleticism and good heoght for a wing a the college level. Can score the ball in multiple ways and can defend multiple positions without fouling.
Raquan Brown (Butler HS)-Has nice size at the guard spot and is an overall skilled player. Can knock down shots from deep at a very high rate, plays very strong and is an outstanding defensive player.
JC Tharrington (Charlotte Christian)-Brings exactly what you what from a PG on the floor, hes a low turnover player that makes the simple play instead of the spectacular play. He brings defensive energy and is a very good communicator with his teammates and coaches. Shoots the deep ball very well but doesnt settle for that , good passer.
Myles Pierre (Carmel Christian)-Another player that can shoot the ball very well from deep, in the game we saw him play he knocked down a high amount of trey ball in a short period of time. Gets to the rim and finishes very well, has received four division one offers at this point.
Davier Dixon (Liberty Heights)-Shifty guard who comes to compete everytime he laces them up. Played on a very competitive high school team which helped bring the best out of him, plays the game with a certain on his shoulder which you love to see from a guard. Knows how to make thr right play and knows how to win close game.
Nas Tyson (Forest Hills)-Tyson is a super -fast guard who excels in transition, he knows how to score, and can create off the dribble.He has the size, has the toughness and has the skills to make it to the next level and has three more years to keep getting better
Cartier Jernigan (West Charlotte)-Crafty bucket getter that excels when attacking the basket. Plays the game like a running back , he puts his shoulders and head down and gets to the spots that he wants to get to.
