MISSOURI SOUTHERN: Top Stock Risers (Forwards)
JOPLIN, Mo. — Several Kansas area schools and players kicked off the 2018 summer camp schedule with competition at Missouri Southern Team Camp in Joplin.
The event drew nearly 50 teams from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma and featured a host of talented players.
Here, Prep Hoops takes a look at several players who stood out on Friday.
13 — Patch Loadholtz, 6’1, G, 2019, Parsons
13 is a tough, physical guard who plays hard and competes. He is a willing rebounder and a hard worker at the defensive end of the floor. At the offensive end, he is at his best attacking the basket where he shows the ability to finish through contact.
21 — Joel Schibi, 5’10, G, 2019, Parsons
One of the better 3-point shooters we saw on Friday, Schibi has a smooth, quick release. He has good range behind the arc and the ability to put the ball on the floor a little and get to the basket. He’s a solid all-around player who takes advantage of the attention defenses pay to the other Parsons’ guards.
50-Evan Troike, 5’11, G, 2019, Girard
Troike is a talented player who can get to the rim and score on taller players. He has a nice hang time and the ability to adjust his shot in the air. He is a talented ball handler who has a knack for finding clear paths to the basket. His speed is also impressive in half court settings. He can be around defenders before they have a chance to get set.
4-Ryder Worrell, SG, Girard
Worrell is an athletic guard who shows up on both ends of the floor. He’s has a quick first step, a solid jumper and the energy around the rim to come up big. He stays active and is always looking for an easy basket and an offensive rebound. Worrell is one of those players that will always find a way to contribute to his team.
11 — Davonte Yates, 6’3, G, 2019, Parsons
Tailes is a powerful dunker, able to throw stuff down in transition and finish on the break. He is a solid rebounder and ball handler and showed on Friday that he can stick a 3-pointer from the perimeter as well.
