Prospect Profile: Collin Warmouth (2019 Roseburg HS/Team Fly Williams)
An all-around athlete at Roseburg High School, you’d expect Collin Warmouth to excel on the basketball floor. The versatile 6-foot-4, 165-pound wing is getting a chance to do on a big stage this spring and summer with Team Fly Williams and after some initial adjustment, he’s finding his groove.
“It’s my first year playing AAU so I didn’t really know exactly what to expect going into it, but the team is great and it’s a bunch of great guys,” Warmouth said. “And we’ve gotten a lot better since the start and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season.”
Warmouth has been able to provide a little bit of everything for Team Fly Williams. At the recent Hoop Memorial Day Classic, he aggressively attacked the basket and help fight for rebounds and loose balls inside. “I think I’ve been shooting really good and they’ve been really relying on me getting some rebounds so I’ve been in there trying to bang around a little bit,” Warmouth said. “I’m just playing good defense. Ball-handling is something I’ve been working on a lot.
Warmouth has been attracting some early attention from colleges. He notes that he’s been talking with Willamette, OIT, and Northwest Christian and he’s happy about the interest. “They’re all good looks,” Warmouth said. “I’m looking definitely for a coach that loves his guys and is push everyone to be better. I’m looking at staying mostly West Coast.”
A big July should help Warmouth achieve his college recruitment goals but he’s taking things one step at a time. “Just keep improving and help my team,” Warmouth said. “If I’m a team guy it will all come together.”
Warmouth currently ranks as the #22 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2019 rankings.
