Grand Strand Finest : (2019) Second Five
The Grand Strand – Myrtle Beach area has plenty some teams in rebuilding stage for this coming season. Lets take a look at the second five players from the 2019 class in this article.
Ty’shaun Richardson – Waccamaw HS (Pawleys Island)
Richardson a guard is tough hombre on the floor. Richardson likes to drive the ball to the basket and isn’t afraid to dive for a loose ball or take on charge on the defensive end. Richardson averaged 10.1 ppg last season for the Warriors.
Jalen Matthews – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Matthews has really bulked up over the past year and has a great frame. Matthews has a great set of shoulders really lacks a true position on the floor. Matthews 6’4 lacks perimeter skills but will be a solid role player for the Saints this season.
Tyron Stockdale – North Myrtle Beach HS
Stockdale might be looking to entertain football after this coming season. Stockdale a wide receiver on the gridiron had a great season last year for the Chiefs. Stockdale hauled in 32 receptions last year for 720 yards. Stockdale had 9 touchdowns. Stockdale 6’2 shooting guard plays with a lot of confidence and swagger on both the football field and the hardwood.
Jevon Griffin – North Myrtle Beach HS (pictured on front)
Griffin a shooting guard likes to set up shot on the left side of the floor especially in the corners. Griffin a lefty averaged 13 ppg last season for the Chiefs. Griffin played this past spring with Stockdale on the Confidence Cougars AAU team.
Jerry Dorsey and Derrick Grant – Georgetown HS
Dorsey 6’3 long athlete and Grant 6’2 is a brute in the paint for the Bulldogs. Grant runs AAU with Manzer.
