All-Spring Squad: Class of 2020 Part 1
Big Shots Elite 2020 Forward Nick Farrar: One of the top 2020 players that we saw all spring, plays strong and understands how to use his height and strength to get where he wants on the floor. Rebounding is one his strength and he has the potential to be a 20 & 10 guy on a nightly basis, really nice blend of height, skill and strength.
WCBA Guard Tyler Gill: Scoring wise, he is one that caught our attention very early on, he put together one of the more efficient scoring performances that we got a chance to see. 24 points on a high percentage is always a positive way to play your way into some college interest.
910 Vengeance Karree Smith: We had a heard a lot about him prior to seeing him play, the more we watched him the more intrigued we came with what he could do on the court. NC Wesleyan has already reached out and we should see some more schools jump on board as he has been impressive at his high school.
WBC Elite Guard Jajuan Carr: He has earned himself the nickname the silent assassin with how lethal he is scoring the ball but also how calm and quiet of a demeanor that he has. You won’t hear him say much but at the end of the game his game and stat line will speak volumes, D1s have already begun to track.
Flight 22 Guard Jordan McNeill: The July live period and his junior season at Lumberton High could change things for him when it comes down to recruiting. He can shoot the ball well from deep but if his shot is not falling, he finds ways to make an impact but constantly staying on the boards. On the defensive end of the floor he does a good job of getting after it and defending his man without fouling and has solid lateral quickness.
NC Empire Guard David Murphy III: His natural feel for the game is something that you notice almost instantly, he always knows where he and teammates are at on the floor and makes the right pass at the right time. At about 6’2-6’3 with a long wingspan he probably grow some more and if he reaches 6’5 ish then things could truly get ugly for the opposition.
Team ENC Wing Kentrell Suggs: Initially we saw him at the Farmville MLK Day Tourney but this was another chance to see him with a bigger role on his squad. He has good height and length, can shoot the deep ball, gets to his spots on the floor at a decent rate and doesn’t show a ton of emotion. There is a lot to like about him and he will be a player that you will want to keep an eye on over the next few months.
Team Wall Big East Wing Yates Johnson: Another player that we had already seen during the high school season but this was our first time checking him out during AAU. He has nice IQ for the game, can shoot the deep ball as well as the midrange shot, staying aggressive at all times is the next step for him which can take him to the next level.
