2020: Names To Know
As the Spring AAU season comes to a close, we have come across a few names that are either new or have played their way onto our radar and now we have locked in on them for the July Live Periods. We highlight some of the best here.
Cleveland Neal – 6’3 / SF / 2020 / Bowman Academy (IN) / SYF 2020
Neal is a little undersized but if he can grow at all, his skill set is so good for an interior forward that can slash and cut, rebounder, and defend. He has some toughness to him as well. A guy that is a little new but worth keeping track of.
Charlie Yoder – 6’4 / SF / 2020 / Westview (IN) / SYF 2020
Yoder might end up being one of the better players in the class as he has a ton of skill and is so aggressive and tough at the point of attack. He loves to drive and draw contact even though he’s very light on the frame. With some development, he has a chance to really blossom.
Jaden Ivey – 6’3 / SG / 2020 / Mishawaka Marian (IN) / Indy Heat 2020
Jaden is a big guard with some on-ball skill but more so than that, he’s a dynamic scorer from the wing. Love his ability to drive to create and he can pair that with a reliable jumper. Big time upside and likely to be a top prospect at the end of the day.
Jake Archbold – 6’3 / SG / 2020 / Homestead (IN) / IE North 2020
Jake is a big guard who just does everything you want out of him. He’s big and strong, he defends at a high level, and he rebounds outside of his area. Not a big scorer right now but the basis for his skill development is there.
Qualen Pettus – 6’4 / SG / 2020 / Fort Wayne Northrop (IN) / Indy Heat Red 2020
Pettus is a big wing who looks physically dominant at times. Can handle the ball and create quite well for his size. Has a jumper and that can be expanded on but he’s so versatile with the body and athleticism, you want to see how far he can take his game.
