First Impressions : 2019 Players
Prep Hoops will be releasing its new rankings next week at this time. Lets take a look with the new rankings a week away, you can expect to see these names making a debut in the Palmetto State 2019 class.
Jevon Griffin – North Myrtle Beach HS – Confidence Cougars
Griffin is a spot up shooter from the perimeter. Griffin 6’2 left-handed guard prefers to play from behind the 3 point line. Never leave Griffin unattended on the floor otherwise he can run off several shots.
Omar Croskey – Sumter HS – Upward Stars Columbia (pictured on front)
Croskey we first saw last April 2017 with the South Carolina Hornets. Croskey should be looked to be counted on more this coming season for the Sumter HS Gamecocks. Croskey a left-handed small forward picked up a scholarship this past NCAA Live Period from South Carolina State University according to Upward Stars Columbia Head Coach Christian Savage.
Isaiah Pizarro – JL Mann HS – South Carolina Playmakers
Pizarro 6’4 is a blue collar post player with a great look to him. Pizarro will finish with his left-hand around the basket and shows to have a nice touch on the foul line.
Malik Bryant – Nation Ford HS – Fort Mill Knicks
Bryant has the ability to explode to the rim and finish at the basket. Bryant a guard has great 1st step and really likes to penetrate and kick to the basket.
Norman Nowell – Richland Northeast HS – 3 Ball Elite
Nowell was great a few weeks back at the Prep Hoops Series 3 in Myrtle Beach. Nowell erupted for 44 points on 7 three pointers. Nowell averaged 12 ppg last season for the Cavaliers. This season former NBA player JoJo English takes over the reins.
Ta’jay Dunlap – Westwood HS – Carolina Pressure 17U
Dunlap is just a fire plug on the floor and is a great leader on this team. Dunlap plays with a fearless attitude and look for him to create havoc for new Head Coach Ty Baumgardner this season at Westwood HS.
