These are the rising sophomores and juniors who impressed at Tarkanian Basketball Academy over the weekend.
Chris Dockery || 2021 Las Vegas Knicks
Dockery is an intriguing prospect because of his length and skill set. He makes quick, smart decisions with the ball and dictating the offense. He slithers through defenders and shows impressive vision, utilizing a variety of wrap around and bounce passes to put his teammates in scoring position. He also is a sneaky rebounder, crashing the boards and coming up with extra opportunities for his team.
Jacob Enriquez || 2021 iPlay Elite
Enriquez is an effective scorer who never seems in a rush. He has a wiry frame that allows him to power through smaller guards when he drives and consistent shooting mechanics from deep. He showed great shot-blocking ability this weekend, often catching opponents by surprise with his weak-side help at the rim.
Markell Hightower || 2020 iPlay Elite
Hightower is a bulldozer of a guard. He has a big, muscular frame and a tight-enough dribble to get to the rim when he wants to drive. He favors his right hand, but because of his strength, he can get to it consistently. Competes hard on defense too, showing good lateral quickness.
Dominick Clifton || 2021 Las Vegas Knicks
Clifton is a calm, crafty combo guard. He switches seamlessly between running the offense and providing a consistent scoring threat. Clifton competes hard on defense, not giving up much to bigger players when attacked off the dribble.
Chancelor Johnson || 2021 702 Attack
Johnson is a smooth scorer with a silky stroke. He showed improvements off the dribble and was a consistent scoring threat against bigger opponents. He is a promising scoring guard who is showing improvements in his decision-making.
