Q&A with Bennie Crenshaw (2021)
Bennie Crenshaw is a talented guard from Waterford Kettering. He saw a ton of action on the varsity level during his freshman campaign. Crenshaw has a ton of skill and is currently playing travel ball with the North Oakland Wolfpack. The freshman guard can get hot very quickly. He does a great job at breaking down his defender and he has a nice midrange touch. Learn more about the Wolfpack’s 15U guard below.
Question: What are the biggest strengths of your game?
Bennie Crenshaw: I am always looking for ways to improve, but my biggest strengths are my mid-range game, defense, ball handling, speed, high IQ, ability to finish, and isolation game.
Question: What do you need to improve on the most to take your game to the next level?
Bennie Crenshaw: The areas of my game that I need to improve on to take my game to the next level is expanding my range to incorporate 3-point shots, strength, aggression, and continue to improve my ball handling,
Question: What sets you apart from your competitors?
Bennie Crenshaw: My work ethic, being a good facilitator on the court, I love basketball, so I constantly watch the game. I watch other players as a way of visual learning. I study other players to utilize moves to improve my game.
Question: What have you enjoyed most about this AAU season? Why?
Bennie Crenshaw: What I’ve enjoyed most about this season is learning how to hone my skills as a floor general. I enjoy that this team gives me the opportunity to play against tougher competition. I enjoy going to different states to play against a wide range of competitors. I like that all my teammates have strengths that I can learn from.
Question: What is your dream school?
Bennie Crenshaw: My dream school is the University of Kentucky

Bennie Crenshaw: Algebra
Question: What do you want to major in?
Bennie Crenshaw: Computer Engineering
Question: What is a short term goal you have?
Bennie Crenshaw: My short term goal is to get a free education from my talents.
Question: What is a long term goal you have?
Bennie Crenshaw: My long term goal is to graduate from college and start my own brand of clothing and shoes.
Question: Which college or NBA player do you consider your game most similar to? Why?
Bennie Crenshaw: I consider my game most similar to Ronaldo Segu because hesitations are our signature moves. We both have a mid-range pull-up and are very competitive. I like how he creates off the dribble from the 3 point line. He has inspired me to expand my game in hopes to mirror his 3 point shot.
