Prospect Spotlight: Eli Dowis (2019)
Coming off a solid junior season for Maryville, 2019 wing Eli Dowis is putting together a solid spring running with the KC Pacers.
A 6’3 combo guard, Dowis is a versatile defender, able to play above the rim at both ends of the floor and is adding a 3-point shot to his game.
Also a standout football player, Dowis averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals per game as helped lead his team to the Class 3 quarterfinals where they lost to eventual state champion Hogan Prep.
“My role on the team is to score when i can and when I can’t try to get a teammate an easy bucket,” Dowis said. “Also I’m responsible for guarding the other teams best player.”
Dowis has put together a solid spring with the Pacers, widely considered one of the top programs in the Kansas City area.
“It’s been a great experience,” Dowis said. “This organization will do whatever they can to help me improve and get my name out there. I’m blessed to have teammates that are some of my best friends within just a month or two of meeting each other.”
