Reece Hazelton Shines at Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes
Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes showed off some top notch talent. The event in Minnesota was a showcase for players with next level skills. The state of Michigan was well represented by Reece Hazelton Reece Hazelton 6'7" | SF Glen Lake | 2020 State MI . He is a 6’6” small forward who is playing AAU basketball for Northen Exposure 16u. Hazelton is in the class of 2020 and attends Glen Lake High School.
Reece Hazelton Reece Hazelton 6'7" | SF Glen Lake | 2020 State MI has had a huge spring so far and continued that trend at Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes. He had three games scoring 20 or more points, notching totals of 26, 24, and 22 points. Hazelton’s most impressive game was his 24 point performance against a very talented D-1 Minnesota team. In fact, D1 Minnesota rolled through the competition at the event, but still had no answer for Hazelton’s diverse offensive game.
Hazelton showed off an impressive skill set at Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes. As a 6’6” small forward, he has good size. Hazelton can shoot from 25 feet with consistency. With his size, he can step out and shoot over smaller defenders. Hazelton also has an excellent mid range game, having the ability to pull up from 15 feet. At Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes, he was very impressive in the paint. Hazelton had great footwork in the post which allowed him to gain position and score and rebound at a high level. In addition to showing the ability to score from all three levels, Hazelton was one of the better defenders at the event.

Hazelton is a diverse athlete who also plays quarterback on the football team and is also on the golf team. He’s a three sport high school athlete who is also very focused on his academics. Hazelton currently holds a 3.75 gpa at Glen Lake High School.
