Recruiting Report: Adam Miller (2020)
Morgan Park 2020 point guard Adam Miller is the #1 ranked prospect in his class. The 6’4” point guard has great size and the ability to really score it from all three levels. He is back now playing with the Mac Irvin Fire after about a month out with an injury. PHI caught up with him to discuss his first season at Morgan Park.
“It went good. We completed our task of getting a state championship. Finished with an ok record. It could have been better, but we had some injuries. I think put in a productive season all-around. Showing I am an all-around player. Being a scorer and defender. Making my team better.”
What was the difference between playing at Manual as a freshman and with the Mustangs for his sophomore season?
“That national schedule. Playing bigger teams. Even though we played national teams there is no place like playing Chicago basketball. That is one of hardest places to play. You have a hard game every time you play.”
Miller spoke about the improvement in his game.
“I think I improved on my focus and becoming a better all-around player especially defensively. Getting stronger. I feel I have gotten way stronger since my freshman year.”
What school is making him feel like the biggest priority?
“The school that has talked to me most recently is probably Illinois. They have always been there. They are always getting at me. The love is there for real. They go after players hard. If they really want a player they will really try to go after them.”
Miller says there are a few schools that he wants to get to for visits in the near future.
“I want to get out to Michigan. Hopefully take one to Florida, UCLA, and Oregon.”
Michigan is one that he definitely wants to see for himself after their big run in the tournament!
“I like how they play and used their freshman guards. Jordan Poole had a productive season. I like their game play all-around.”
Florida has made a push for him and fellow elite 2020 guard DJ Steward in recent weeks.
“They are trying to get on us quick. That always shows a lot. They are on point.”
