April Live Period Recap: 2019 Stock Risers
Several players made statements during the April Live Period. In this article we will acknowledge eight of the biggest stock risers we saw from the 2019 class in Maryland, DC and Virginia.
JAMON BATTLE | TEAM LOADED 804
With 10 offers under his belt, and the most recent coming from Old Dominion, it appears that Jamon Battle is set for a breakout this summer. Look for the legit 6-foot-5 guard to continue to garner heavy mid major level division one interest.
ROBBIE BERAN | TEAM RICHMOND GARNER ROAD
Robbie Beran does it all at 6-foot-8 and a half, and demonstrates fluid movements which gives him a tremendous ceiling. A10 schools have been offering lately, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see some high majors start actively recruiting him.
JAMES BISHOP | TEAM THRILL
James Bishop has been reeling offers since dropping 43 points on Team Rio in Indy. Michigan, Seton Hall, and Colorado are among several new high majors who have begun to recruit the skilled 6-foot-3 sharp shooter.
CAMERON BROWN | DISTRICT BASKETBALL CLUB
A strong 6-foot-5 wing who can defend multiple positions at a high level, Cameron Brown‘s recruitment is trending up this spring after several standout performances. The scary part is that he really doesn’t know how good he is yet, and his potential is significant.
KYLE ROSE | DISTRICT BASKETBALL CLUB
Kyle Rose has picked up offers from schools such as UMass Lowell, Howard, and Bryant since the April Live Period. He killed it again last weekend in Bowie, and should only continue to attract more interest from mid major division one programs.
ABDOU TSIMBILA | MID ATLANTIC SELECT
Penn State recently offered Abdou Tsimbila, who has shown signs of absolute dominance on both ends of the floor this spring. Goretti’s big man is still very raw, but he’s very strong, works hard, and moves quite well for his size.
ANTHONY WALKER | TEAM BBC
Anthony Walker is still just scratching the surface of his ceiling, but is producing consistently this spring for Team BBC on the Adidas Gauntlet. The mobile 6-foot-9 power forward, who has reeled in recent offers from schools such as UMass and TCU, could see his recruitment go to another level soon.
JULIEN WOODEN | TEAM LOADED VA
Look for Julien Wooden to blow up this July. The versatile and energetic 6-foot-6 southpaw, who received a recent offer from Howard, is a great candidate for low to mid level division one programs.
