Prep Hoops Series- Kansas City: Stock Risers (Guards)
LAWRENCE, Kan. — Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at several guards who raised their profile throughout the weekend at the Prep Hoops Series in Kansas City.
25 — Levi Braun, 6’4, G, 2019, Hayden (Kan.) SSA Elite Black
Braun is emerging as a knock down perimeter shooter as he was nails from behind the arc throughout the weekend in Lawrence for SSA Elite. He is a good, crafty ball handler capable of securing the ball, getting his team into its offense and making smart decisions, but he can also score the basketball as well as play off the ball and knock down open shots.
2 — Noel Coleman, 6’2, PG, 2019, Sunrise (Kan.), KC Pacers
Coleman is one of the more underrated point guards from the region we’ve seen on the circuit this spring, combining terrific athleticism, feel for the game and leadership. He can create off the bounce, gets to the basket and can finish at the rim, as well as set up teammates.
24 — AJ Dickerson, 6’4, G, 2019, Junction City (Kan.), SSA Elite Black
He’s one of Kansas’ better guards in the 2019 class, blessed with good size at 6’54 and a strong, physical frame. He is capable of creating his own shot off the bounce, is tough for opponents to keep out of the lane and can make contested jumpers. Dickerson put together a big weekend as he showed he can play off the ball at the 2 guard.
23 — Dawson Herl, 6’4, G, William Chrisman (Mo.), KC Pacers
Herl is a standout perimeter shooter who had a terrific showing shooting the ball from the perimeter throughout the tournament. Also a football standout at Chrisman, Herl showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the bucket as well.
