Prospect Spotlight: Hezekiah ‘Hezzy’ Salter (2019)
Hezekiah Salter is off to a solid start to AAU season. At The Series ITL two weekends ago, he was one of the top performing players at the event. The highlight of his weekend was a 29 point performance against 90’s Elite. Salter is a 6’2” forward in the class of 2019. He attends West Aurora High School and plays AAU basketball for the TS Wolverines.
Salter is a versatile and skilled basketball player. While listed as a forward, he has the ability to play and defend multiple positions. Salter is a good athlete who can score at the rim. He is strong on the glass and plays bigger than his size. Salter is working to improve his ball handling. This could add another dimension to his game and cause headaches for opponents trying to match up.
Hezekiah Salter has a lot to look forward to in the world of prep basketball. He is excited for the AAU season ahead of him. Salter is specifically eyeing the National Basketball Tournament in Boston in June. He cherishes the time he spends in the gym with friends and teammates working on his game. Salter hopes that through AAU season, he can draw the attention of some college coaches.
Salter has a skill set that could be very valuable to a college team. While he doesn’t currently hold offers, he will be a great fit for multiple schools. Salter is a natural leader who paves the way with his work ethic. “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it at the next level and my passion for the game drives me to give my all and make the most of my opportunities,” he said.
The future is bright for Hezekiah Salter. He wants to develop his game so that he can be successful at the next level. Salter wants to pursue a degree in business management. “I want to be able to give back and take care of my family one day as they’ve always done for me. Also, I can’t imagine my life without the sport so I want to be able to continue playing as long and as much as possible,” he said. College coaches should keep an eye on Salter for the rest of the spring and summer seasons.
