Fab Freshman Updates
Throughout the season we got the opportunity to see some of the top freshman in the state, so how have they performed during the start of the AAU season? Well lets take a quick look at a few of those freshman and what they have been doing.
WBCA & Pender HS Guard Khalil Marshall: He has hit the ground running and hasn’t slowed up yet, scoring the ball at a high rate even when he’s going up against good defenders. Just recently he knocked down a game winning shot at the Big Shots Tournament just across half court, he is a special talent and one to keep an eye on.
Team CP3 & Farmville Central Guard Terquavion Smith: Playing with a loaded CP3 squad, he has to pick his time when he can truly be aggressive as he wants. However you don’t have to watch him for a long time to see why D1 programs are already tracking and interest, he’s got nice height.
Team Loaded & Burlington Christian Guard Brock Williams: He’s another player that has been doing major things, he showed that he score the ball at a high level. Being one of the top scorers in the state we already know that he could score at a high level in high school and it continues during the AAU season.
Team Felton & High Point Christian Guard K.J Garrett: Another player that we saw as an 8th grader, he just continues to get better as time goes on and showing that he does more than scoring. Recently he has taken on a more of a facilitator role and is showing how talented and dangerous, he can be when he’s able to do both.
Hoke County & TIBF Guard Jaquantae Harris: After a stellar season at Hoke County, he has continued to play at a high level and is scoring the ball with ease. The Raeford area has produced a high amount of talent and he has a chance to be the next one if he continues to work hard on his game, he has a smooth game and a lot of upside.
