Recruiting Roundup: Bagley, Ferrin and Adamson All Sign, Now Who’s Left In 2018 Class?
Within the last week three more excellent 2018 prospects signed on to continue their basketball careers at the next level, and two will be playing together once again.
In Burley, two of their studs from this past season which helped guide them to a 21-5 overall record and state tournament appearance have signed on to play at Northeastern Junior College and are the latest additions to Plainsmen roster.

Ryan Bagley was named the Great Basin Player of the Year (for the second consecutive year), a truly dominant player all season long and a do-it-all type, Bagley along with Andrew Ferrin who will be joining Northeastern, both earned All-USA Idaho team honors by USA Today, 2 of 10 players total to earn such recognition.
As mentioned earlier, Bagley could really put up some numbers and showed everyone what he could do despite their loss to eventual state champ Preston by going for 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Ferrin on the other hand is long and highly skilled player for his size. In the same game in which the Bobcats dropped to Preston, Ferrin put up a monster double-double going for 18 points and 10 rebounds.
These two players not only have played together at Burley but also with regards to grassroots as they play with Cache Valley Elite, but now the tandem will move on to the bigger stage and likely continue their brand of success, congrats to both.
Over at another 4A state tournament team, Century’s Coleton Adamson signed on with College of Southern Idaho, one of the premiere junior colleges in the nation. Adamson was featured in our Spring Spotlight series earlier, and now will be a valued asset for the Golden Eagles.
Congrats to #CacheValleyElite Alum @phantomadamson for signing with @CSIEagles. #signed

Another in the Cache Valley Elite family, Adamson used his busy Spring thus far to get him on radars and ultimately landed his next basketball destination. One of the standouts for us at the state tournament, Adamson is a true grinder and his brand of ball will show through at the next level for sure.
Who’s left?
In terms of 2018 unsigned players we still are showing Hillcrest’s Derek Marlowe, one of the premiere scorers at the 5A level without an announcement yet and also Steele Hadlock, one of the top shooters in 4A and maybe the state left without an announcement. Both players are certainly capable and worthy of schools at the next level looking to add to their rosters.
Some other names and players to watch and follow would be reigning 5A champs Rocky Mountain’s Tyler O’Donnell, Dietrich’s Slade Dill, Kuna’s Zack Barton, Timberline’s Zac Zenner and Skyview’s Chris Kielman. All of these players hit the top portion of our rankings last season and have excellent numbers and experience under their belts, all worthy of next level consideration.
As we make our way through the Spring stay tuned to PHID as we will follow all of the recruiting news.
