Unsigned Senior Prospect Updates
New Hanover HS Point Guard Freddie Taylor picked up an offer from St. Andrews University yesterday, he also has offers from multiple JC programs. Taylor is playing with WBC Elite in Greensboro this weekend and should have a nice showing with this squad, D1 JC programs have been the programs recruiting him the hardest so far.
New Hanover HS Forward Josh Aldrich has picked up interest from UNCP and took a visit/workout this week. He is a player that has a very high skillset as well as a nice IQ for the game, he’s 6’6 so programs still looking for a stretch forward type of player should hit him up.
Wake Tech CC has contacted Westover HS Forward/Center Edmund Scott, although he still has some work to do, you have to like the potential he has. 6’7 with a long wingspan and a body that seems like you can put muscle on it, makes it seem like he has only scratched the surface of what he can be.
Hoke County HS Unsigned Senior PG Dakari Johnson was selected to participate in the NC East vs West game , and is one of the top guards that remains unsigned in the state. UNCA, Mississippi Valley State and Campbell have all reached out in the recent weeks.
Washington Academy 6’5 Forward Samson Strickland has picked up interest from Colgate, Strickland is a player who did a Post Grad year and took some time to work on his game. He has good upper body strength and although he is undersized at the PF spot he plays with a high amount of energy and enthusiasm.
James Kennan HS Unsigned Senior Forward Jareem Lovette recently visited Howard Community College, he already holds offers from Brunswick CC, Catawba Valley CC and interest from quite a few other programs.
Hunt HS Guard Jeremiah Ganaway has interest from numerous D3, D2 and JUCO programs, he is a super athletic player that has only tapped into his potential. He averaged over 18 PPG during his senior season and will only get better as time goes on as long he locks in and applies himself.
