Phenom Challenge Live : 2019 Strong Showings
Prep Hoops SC takes a strong look at some of Palmetto State players that had a strong showing this weekend at the Phenom Challenge in Spartanburg, SC. Prep Hoops SC expects these players to be receiving some mail in the future.
Ishan White – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner) – TMP 17U
White really had a great weekend for TMP 17U. White 6’6 walked away with scholarship offers from Presbyterian, Winthrop and North Carolina A&T. White a athletic forward is a quick leaper and likes to stalk the baseline.
Trevur Smalls – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner) – TMP 17U
Smalls connected on shots and showed a solid mid-range game this weekend for TMP 17U. North Carolina A&T offered the wing player.
Latrell Marshall – Fort Dorchester HS – Rock Nation Impact
Marshall 6’6 forward played big in the paint for the Rock Nation Impact. Marshall worked for every point he could manufacture on the offensive end. Marshall was always in the right position on the floor.
Jalen Bailey – Stall HS – Rock Nation Impact
Bailey a jet quick guard really excels in the transition game. Bailey a left-handed guard settled for a lot of three pointers in the process of making some.
Marlow Gilmore – Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS (Neeses) – Columbia Hoyas
Gilmore needs to be a half-time entertainment show at times. Gilmore 6’6 ultra athletic forward can defend multiple positions on the floor. Gilmore really excels in a up-tempo style of play. Gilmore averaged just over 20 ppg this past season for the Trojans.
Shane McCravy – Oceanside Collegiate – Upward Stars Columbia
McCravy 6’4 is just so efficient at times on the floor. McCravy has really good length and feel for the game. McCravy knocked down some open looks and really rebounds the ball well for his size. McCravy can slash to the basket and on the defensive end is not afraid to take a charge.
Jalen Johnson – Sumter HS – Upward Stars Columbia (pictured on front)
Johnson is a great effort guy on the floor for his team. Johnson defends all over the floor and has a great nose for the ball. When Johnson wasn’t playing you saw him cheering on his teammates from the bench.
