Phenom Challenge Live : UNSIGNED Seniors
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some players that might of just made enough noise this weekend with their play on the court. Prep Hoops SC did 2 days at the Phenom Challenge Live in Spartanburg, SC. The event was played at Upward Star Center. Lets take a look at some UNSIGNED seniors still looking for a program this coming fall.
Andarius Boulware – South Pointe HS – Fort Mill Knicks 17U (pictured on front)
Boulware has a lot of talent and it showed today. Boulware 6’4 plays football also at the Palmetto State powerhouse South Pointe HS. Boulware a slender and sleek athlete was all over the glass. Boulware glided to the rack on several occasions. Boulware connected on 4 three pointers in his opening round game vs the North Carolina Flame.
Pantry McKinney – Eastside HS (Taylors) – Anderson Knights 17U
McKinney 5’11 point guard brings a toughness and some attitude to the floor. McKinney looked to attack the basket every chance he had today. McKinney must improve on perimeter shooting. McKinney found the open man in transition and really out hustled kids diving on the floor.
John Thorsland – Walhalla HS – Anderson Knights 17U
Thorsland 6’4 is a good athlete that plays all over the floor. Thorsland shows to have a nice shooting stroke from the perimeter always seems to be in the right position on the floor. Thorsland was Region Player of the Year this past season for the Razorbacks.
Naquan Addison – Crestwood HS (Dalzell) – Team All or Nothing
Addison didn’t play this past season at Crestwood HS after transferring over from Spring Valley HS. Addison 5’11 guard plays with some swagger and attitude. Addison can score the ball and really likes to get out in transition and play fast.
Kam’ron Cunningham – JL Mann HS (Greenville) – Upward Stars Upstate Silver 17 (Will Postgrad)
Cunningham will do a postgraduate year this coming fall at Hargrave Military (VA) according to Head Coach David Bentley. Cunningham has really picked up his skill level in the past season. Cunningham 6’5 scored the ball at all 3 levels today. Cunningham hit several 3 pointers and really liked handling the rock in transition.
