The Class A All State Team
NHR names their All State team for Class A headlined by players from all corners of the state.
First Team
Isaac Fink of Springfield (11). Fink averaged a double-double of 26.6 points and 10.2 rebounds a game with 5.8 assists and 2.8 steals a contest.
Noah Kannegiesser of Hancock (12). Noah led his team into the top ten this year with a state high of 35.6 points per game. Headed to Concordia-St. Paul.
Westin Kirk of RTR (12). Kirk led his team to a state title behind his team highs of 18.7 points, nine rebounds, and almost three steals a game,
Cade Goggleye of North Woods (11). Cade produced 21 points, eight assists, and nearly five steals a game while leading his team to the state final.
Baden Noennig of Mayer Lutheran (11). The Crusaders made state with Baden leading in scoring (17.8), rebounding (7.5), and blocks plus was second in assists.
Second Team
Travis Visser of Hinckley-Finlaysion (12). Took his top five ranked team to state on 22 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists a game.
Steele Senske of Park Christian (12). The Bemidji State bound wing dealt with injuries this year but gave 26 points a game when he was healthy enough to get on the floor.
Carter Henry of BOLD (11). Henry helped get his team to the Class A top ten with 16 points and eight rebounds a game while breaking the school record for blocks.
Jake Kettner of Minnesota Valley Lutheran (11). Jake gave his team 22.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
Zach Kjeseth of Wabaska-Kellogg (12). Zach pushed his team over .500 (16 wins) with 21 points, 9.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and three steals a game. Did everything and gave it all he had.
Third Team
Karsten Broadley of Fosston (11). Broadley scored 18 a game for a 20 win team. Has an offer from Minnesota-Crookston.
Carter Kopet of Cleveland (12). Not sure how accurate the online numbers of Carter averaging a triple double are but he did have a great season scoring 20 a night.
Mason Miller of Ada-Borup (10). One of the best sophomores in the state again this year (yes he should have been Sophomore All State) putting a double-double average of 18 and 12 on a top team.
Arnold Kingbird of Cass Lake-Bena (12). Kingbird was the Panther leading scorer bringing a team to state that won 30 games and went to state.
Micah Pocernich of Cromwell (10). Cromwell won 23 games and Micah scored 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, and 2.2 steals a game from Micah.
Fourth Team
Garrett Tjernagel of Mayer Lutheran (12). The Crusaders were an elite team in Class A all season and Garrett put up 13 and 7 each night playing next to Noennig.
Garrett Kern of RTR (12). Kern was the second leading scorer for the state champs at 16 points a night.
Tate Olson of North Woods (12). Tate put up 17 points and four assists a game for the state runner-up.
Tanner Vogel of Springfield (12). Tanner gave Springfield 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists a game.
Gavin Voiska of BOLD (10). A 17 point per game guy for BOLD who led his team in assists and helped them into the top ten.
Jon Zinniel of New Ulm Cathedral (10). Cathedral surprised many with the great season they had winning 22 games. Jon led the team with 15 points and six rebounds a game.
Fifth Team
Emmanuel Jones of Prairie Seeds Academy (12), Jones was a top metro scorer producing nearly 27 points a night on a team that went 19-8.
Thomas Hennen of Minneota (11). Hennen scored 20 a game for a 24-4 ranked team.
Dawson Fox of NCE/U-H (12). Scored 17 points per game this winter for a 24-4 team that was ranked much of the year.
Jayden Heisler of Mahnomen/Waubun (11). Led a balanced team to state with 17 points per contest.
Jordan Tomkinson of Sacred Heart (12). Jordan scored 22 a night with 7 boards for a 23-5 squad.
Nick Mattson of Wrenshall (12). Put up 21 points a game for a 25-3 team this year. Great combo with Tyler Kelly.
