2020 Rankings Update: Top Forwards
Now that the class of 2020 has completed their Sophomore seasons, they are about to embark on the huge spring and summers as they get ready to hit the AAU circuit. There are actually quite a few quality forwards in the 2020 class. Several have big time potential but have to turn potential into production. Here’s a look at the top forwards in the newly updated 2020 rankings:
Jackson Sivils, McCracken County – Sivils has made his way up the rankings since our initial 2020 posting. All the way up at 4 could be a little high but Jackson can prove he’s worthy with a big spring on the AAU circuit with Hoop Dreams. Now that he claims an offer from Saint Louis University, more eyes will certainly be watching him.
Kenny White, Madisonville-North Hopkins – Long and athletic and can play 4 positions, White is the type of player that college coaches covet. If White can prove that his motor is always running, he can rack up some offers this spring and summer playing alongside Sivils with Hoop Dreams.
JJ Traynor, Bardstown – One of the highest upsides in the class, Traynor has mid major or better length and athleticism and a developing skill set. Traynor possesses a decent motor but should be getting more points and rebounds per game with the size he possesses. If JJ develops this summer, he can move right back up the rankings and be near the top. Catch him with The Ville this spring and Summer.
Alex Matthews, John Hardin – Matthews is a combo forward who did most of his damage in the paint and on post-ups this season. With Mickey Pearson gone next season, Matthews should get a much bigger role as a Junior. He can be found this season alongside White and Sivils with Hoop Dreams.
Chesimon Moore, Louisville Collegiate – Another member of Hoop Dreams 16u, Moore is an above average athlete but it’s hard to get an assessment of his skills due to the competition that Collegiate plays. With the size and athleticism he possesses, Moore could be a really good college prospect. Chez could be a potential blow up candidate this summer depending on production.
