Q&A with Mikkos Stewart (2021)
Mikkos Stewart is just one of the many talented guards in Michigan’s loaded 2021 class. Stewart played significant minutes this season for Detroit Country Day’s varsity team. Stewart averaged 8 PPG, 4 APG, and 3 RPG during his freshman campaign. The young guard is just getting started. He flourished playing an age group up for The Squad Elite at the Michigan Invitational and is flourishing this weekend at the Adidas Gauntlet. Question: What are the biggest strengths of your game?
Mikkos Stewart: My passion and my heart.
Question: What do you need to improve on the most to take your game to the next level?
Mikkos Stewart: Continue to put hard work in the gym.
Question: What sets you apart from your competitors?
Mikkos Stewart: My energy that I bring to the game and my pull up jumper.
Question: What are you most looking forward to about this AAU season? Why?
Mikkos Stewart: Competition of play because I just started playing point guard two years ago and I have a lot to show.
Question: Have you been recruited by any colleges yet?
Mikkos Stewart: I have a few D1 and D2 following me.
Question: What is your favorite class in school?
Mikkos Stewart: Math.
Question: What do you want to major in?
Mikkos Stewart: Law or medicine.
Question: What is a short term goal you have?
Mikkos Stewart: Just stay focussed and believe in the process.
Question: What is a long term goal you have?
Mikkos Stewart: To own a basketball team.
Question: Which college or NBA player do you consider your game most similar to? Why?
Mikkos Stewart: Russell Westbrook because of the energy he plays with at both ends of the floor.
