Colorado Chaos Preview
When talking about one of the longest standing elite AAU programs in the state, look no further as the Colorado Chaos is at the top of the list having been around for 19 years and counting. With the main goal of each player getting better and putting them in a position to succeed each summer in preparation for the upcoming season or furthering their basketball careers at the next level this organization has allowed over 400 kids to attend college and play the sport they love. This includes over 100 players that have made it to the Division I level. This is an organization that knows what it takes to get these student athletes ready and as good as they are on the court, the Chaos prepare these scholars for life as well – let’s take a look at this year’s talented roster.
Colorado Chaos 15U Elite Roster

Tristan Smith — Elizabeth
Noah Salazar — Grandview
Colton Gillingham — Greeley West
Blake O’Brien — Legacy
Gavin Poxson — Legacy
Tyler Uyemura — Platte Valley
Truman Chambers — Prospect Ridge
Andrew Mater — ThunderRidge
Player to Watch
Truman Chambers is a talented young player that’s looking to make a name for himself early in his high school career. Whille he appeared in most of the team’s games this year, he also made his presence known as he was a key contributor for Prospect Ridge. He is a player that fits in to most offenses and will go and work hard for an extra rebound or two that this young team can rally behind. If Truman can build on a great foundation he established during the season, his stock will rise this summer with a couple strong outings.
X-Factors: Andre Mater, Colton Gillingham and Brayden Carter

Evan Laraby — Middle Park
Reece Kelly — Mountain Vista

Player to Watch
Alec Laraby led his team in scoring this past year all though his team was well balanced offensively he still showed control and willingness to want to play the game the right way. Many will look at him and his team and just write them off but come Gametime if they are not respected they will come away with some upset wins over teams this summer.
X-Factors: Evan Laraby, Trey Jones and Calvin Wing

Players to Watch
Caleb McGill made a name for himself this season helping his Grandview team come away with a state championship. For most of the state tournament he was the X-Factor specifically on the defensive end that was also able to add instant offense. He has a high IQ and motor and can run the break and fills the lane correctly making him a dream player for any guard.
Cameron LeVan and Sam Schliep will be a hard duo to guard as they gel in the coming weeks. LeVan is tough hard nose guard that give over the top effort on defense which usually ends up becoming easy lay-ups for him in the back court. During this summer, I would love to see him look to score more for himself as well as still keeping his teammates involved. On the other hand, Sam is a player that will get after it on the offensive end and will catch a lot of teams off guard with his shooting and how he just lets the game come to him.

Players to Watch
Seth Fuqua had himself a great season and is having what has to be one of the best careers of any young player that I’ve seen in the state. He’ll look to continue that strong run during the AAU circuit and grow. For a player that’s at a small school like Vanguard, this is his opportunity to progress and become a more known player as he’s playing with and against the best players in the state. He spoke to Prep Hoops Colorado during the season and said that he’s heading into the summer circuit with a chip on his shoulder as he’s willing to prove that he’s for real and one of the best players in the class for a reason.
With the size of Kevin Sax, teams are easily intimidated especially during AAU where an aggressive playing style mixed with size and strength can make all the difference. His ability to change the game on the defensive end, specifically with his help side defense has him as one of the most interesting players heading into the summer circuit. Kevin saw limited minutes this season only cause of how stacked his ThunderRidge team was from top to bottom. So in essence, this summer will be more of a warm up to what he will be going through next season as a bigger role will surely open up for him to fill.

Colorado Chaos 17U Elite Roster
Andre Sepeda — Greeley West — 5’8
Avery Rembao — Loveland — 6’6
Carter Keil — Sterling — 6’1
Levi Dombro — Grandview — 6’2
Jack Olson — Legacy — 6’9
Tyler Unger — Grandview — 6’4
Bryson Becker — Platte Valley
Daniel Carr — Regis — 6’9
Bailey Verk — ThunderRidge — 6’5
Players to Watch
This whole team could honestly be on this list and should be a favorite heading into the AAU season. They have so many different players that can do so much and their versatility separates them.
A player that stands out is Andre Sepeda. He can score, rebound and distribute, but also be active on the defensive end as well. Him alongside state champion, Tyler Unger, a knock down shooter with the ability to light it up at any moment makes this group even stronger. Hunter Shkapich is also a player that does it all, either on the wing or inside and that makes this a really, really strong group that’ll surely have a summer full of noise.
X-Factors: Avery Rembao, Bailey Verk, Levi Dombro and Jack Olson
