Adidas Invitational (Class of 2020 Forwards)
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2020 forwards from last weekend’s Adidas Invitational:
Sam Richardson 6’5″ Gateway: A versatile skilled combo forward who led Gateway to the championship game of the 16U division. He is very comfortable on the perimeter with his ability to handle the ball and make plays off the dribble. He will also go inside and get buckets in the post and rebound at a high rate. He has proven to be a difficult matchup problem for opposing defenses.
Keydrian Jones 6’5″ Gateway (IL): A wide-body power forward who was big in the championship game as his team won the 16U title. He scored 12 points in the finals. He is a physical post player who knows how to use his body down low by getting good position and holding it. He is very good at using the pump fake and drawing contact and finishing around the glass.
Aaron Molten 6’5″ Gateway (IL): He teams with his high school with wide-body teammate Jones to form a very potent pair of “beefalos” in the low post. He’s big and tough and he’s not afraid to throw his weight around the post in a physical game. He is strong and very good and positioning around the basket to get things done.
Michael Skoff 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops: A talented “Stretch 4″ who really excels on the perimeter with his ability to knock down 3-pointers and open up the defense. He is an ideal pick and pop player. He is also a solid ball handler and passer who will get on the boards as well.
Blessin Kimble 6’5” SEMO Bulls: A solid athlete who plays with a lot of activity around the basket. He plays with a high motor on both ends, especially when it comes to rebounding the basketball. He had some impressive finishes around the hoop during the weekend.
