17U Prospect Watch: Mitchell Goodbary (2019)
Six-foot-5 power forward Mitchell Goodbary of Sioux Falls Christian knows something about winning. That’s pretty much all his teams do.
Goodbary played for a South Dakota Attack 16s team that rarely lost. He took that experience into the winter and helped Sioux Falls Christian go 24-1 this year and earn third place at state.
“Things went great for our team this season,” Goodbary said. “They didn’t end as we all were hoping they would but just getting to play with the group of guys we had and play against the teams we did was really fun.
“This year I really worked on and still am on my post game. Playing inside almost the whole game this season has really helped me develop a stronger post game.”
Now Goodbary is back with his South Dakota Attack teammates ready to play an eight schedule event that is centered in the Midwest but ends in Las Vegas.
“This summer I am playing with the SD Attack,” Goodbary said. “We have a lot of the same guys that we did last year as well as Gavin Schipper is now on the team.
“We all have played together for a while and it will be a really fun summer.”
PHD agrees that it should be a fun spring and summer as many are excited to watch this team.
