Prospect Spotlight: Kee Hargrow (2020)
Joliet Central 2020 Kee Hargrow is a 6’8” long and rangy combo forward from Joliet Central. He burst on the scene last spring with Meanstreets and after a bit of a bumpy year at Joliet Central he is starting to show his immense potential again with Young & Reckless. He has greatly improved his perimeter skill level over the last year. Jumper has become a weapon despite a release where it seems like he is pushing it toward the hoop. Can play above the rim with big dunks. Hargrow can be a bit wild with the ball and didn’t rebound at as high of a rate as we would have liked we when saw him. Defensively he has length and timing which allows him to be a shot blocking presence. Mid-majors and low-majors should keep tabs on him.
Hargrow spoke about the growth in his perimeter game over the last year.
“I have been working on the three point shot. My shot is getting better. My ball handling. I need to get in the paint more getting rebounds and keep blocking shots.”
What are the strengths of his game at this stage?
“Taking the player from the perimeter to the basket. I like blocking shots and playing defense.”
He mentioned a few areas he wants to focus on improving this summer.
“Getting better on rebounding and playing physical. Also being able to play everywhere on the perimeter.”
