Prep Hoops SC will be covering some AAU action this weekend here in the Southeast part of the United States. Lets take a look at some recruiting news & notes from around the Palmetto State.
Diamante “Bam” Brown recently committed to Lincoln Memorial University (TN) (NCAA D2). Brown ranked #18 in the Palmetto State 2018 Class just finished his high school career at A.C. Flora HS.
Grant Singleton a starting point guard from Lakewood HS recently visited Lincoln Memorial University (TN) (NCAA D2) according to Head Coach Bryan Brown. Singleton 5’11 averaged 15.8 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season. Singleton was the MVP of the North-South All-Star Game. Singleton finished his career with 1,342 career points. Singleton a former Region Player of the Year last season as junior for the Gator is ranked #20 in the Palmetto State 2018 Class.
Jerrel Kelly is currently on a official visit at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL according to his Head Coach Will Epps. Kelly 6’9 left-handed forward averaged 14.2 ppg and 12.3 rebounds this season for the Swamp Cats. Kelly recently played at the Prep Hoops / Swanny’s UNSIGNED Event with Singleton. Kelly is ranked #17 in the Palmetto State 2018 Class.
Kamal Desor (2019) has transferred from Boiling Springs HS to Dorman HS for next season. Desor a very athletic forward also excels on the football field as a wide receiver. Desor should be a nice addition to a already talented Cavaliers squad. Desor is running AAU this spring with Team Loaded 704.
Darius Hough (2020) recently transferred into Myrtle Beach HS from Gray Collegiate. Hough a guard played this past weekend at the Icebreaker Invitational in North Augusta, SC with Team Charlotte 16.
Vince Cole who was at York Prep back in the fall has signed with USC-Salkehatchie for next season. Cole a former James Island HS and College of Charleston commit recently returned home from the Lone Star State.
Kerry Eaddy and Javian Bellamy both 2018 players are currently playing AAU with a new based team called Carolina Thunder. Eaddy is a left-handed post player from Dutch Fork while Bellamy played at Ben Lippen.
Former TMP guard Logan Ammons (2019) who now attends Hanahan HS is also on the team. Ammons sat out this season with a injury after transferring over from Northwood Academy.
