Recruiting Report: Jamir Price (2019)
Rock Island 2019 Jamir Price is a shooting guard that was a key reason for the strong post season run of Rock Island. The wing is a bit streaky as a scorer, but when he gets hot he can get it going. Nice looking jumper that gets elevation off the floor. Price has the ability to score from all three levels. D2 prospect at this stage.
Price’s Rock Island squad ran through the regionals beating some highly ranked teams and prospects and he was a major reason why.
“The season went well both individually and a team. We won a regional against some top ranked teams. I feel like we competed with everyone.”
What did he feel was the most improvement in his skill set?
“I improved with controlling my speed a lot and shooting it off the bounce.”
He has been a mainstay with Quad City Elite on the circuit for years and is looking forward to his 17U year.
“As a team I feel we can compete with anyone. I am showing I can do a lot of things on the floor. I can do everything.”
He took an unofficial visit to Drake under the previous coaching staff, but not much going on with his recruitment other than that.
