Recruiting Report: Marquise Kennedy (2019)
Brother Rice 2019 guard Marquise Kennedy looks like he is primed to make a big leap this spring with his new squad the Illinois Wolves. He played both on and off the ball looking comfortable handling it against pressure. The 6’1” guard has long arms, an angular build, and bounce. Kennedy is tough taking it to the hoop on slick drives and also can hit an occasional three. Defensively he blocks shots and shows some lateral quickness. Look forward to seeing how he continues to progress this spring.
He spoke about the progression in his game as a junior.
“Point guard wise I am able to see the court better with my vision and create. I can also create for myself at the same time. My quick decisions.”
