Possible Spring Stock Boosters: 2019 (Part 2)
We are less than 30 days from the first live period of the AAU season. With that being said, we’re going to spend some time looking at prospects from DC, Maryland, and Virginia in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 class over the next few weeks, and give you some names to look out for as we dive into what should be another hectic spring. Here we break down some possible spring stock boosters in the 2019 class.
KAMDYN CURFMAN | 6’0 G | GEORGETOWN PREP
Kamdyn Curfman will not only bring long range shooting, but underrated defense, playmaking skills, and the ability to score from the middle areas of the floor to the District Basketball Club this AAU Season. He can run the point, but is also effective when working off the ball. Look for Curfman to see his stock trend up as he is one of the best shooters in the local 2019 class.
ALEX FITCH | 6’4 G | ROCK RIDGE
Another terrific shooter, but with good size at 6-foot-4, Alex Fitch will be asked to stretch the floor consistently for DC Premier this spring. The 2019 wing prospect is coming off a fantastic junior season at Rock Ridge, and is firmly on the radar of several division one programs at the moment.
RONELL GILES | 6’4 G | ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI
We are unsure of the type of role Ronell Giles will play for Team Melo EYBL, but one thing we do know is that he will have a shot to earn plenty of minutes given his unique blend of size, skill, and underrated defensive ability. Giles still has much more room to grow, but we could see him take the next step if he can stay aggressive and be efficient on the EYBL.
COLLIN SCHLEE | 6’4 G | OAKDALE
Collin Schlee enjoyed a solid junior season in which he led Oakdale to a state final four appearance, and is set to attract the eyes of several mid major division one programs this spring with Mid Atlantic Select. At 6-foot-4, he demonstrates good size, skill, and can shoot the ball well from long range.
AYAN TEEL | 5’9 G | BISHOP O’CONNELL
Look for Ayan Teel to run the show effectively for New World on the Adidas Gauntlet. The reliable point guard, who shot 50 percent from three during his junior year at O’Connell, is considered one of the hottest prospects in the area at the moment.
