East NC Fab 40 Camp Preview
If you’re a college coach looking for an unsigned senior or a coach looking to get an early jump on the 2019 and 2020 recruiting class then you should definitely drop in to East NC Fab 40 Camp this Saturday. The Event has featured some of the top players from the area in the past years such as Coby White and Kyran Bowman, while also featuring the last two CIAA Rookies of The Year in Rob Colon and Zach Hobbs. So who will be in the building this year? Let’s take a look at a few of the players that will be in the building for camp.
Cape Fear Christian 6’8 Senior Forward Milos Galogaza: Programs looking for a stretch forward type of player should be blowing his phone up. He has picked up some D1 interest already and those programs should be calling, D2 programs that like a Power Forward that can shoot should already be offering him.
First Flight HS Sophomore Guard Dylan Blake: If you haven’t seen First Flight HS play then you are truly missing a treat, tons of treys ball and a team where multiple players can knock down double digit treys. It will be interesting to see how he adjust to the camp setting and his new teammates as well as how he will perform in the 3point contest.
Western Alamance Senior 6’4 Guard/Forward Dantre Harvey: One of the more versatile players at the event, we expect him to have a very nice day and to fill up the stat sheet. Colleges looking for a player that can do a bit of everything on the court should check him out.
Overhills HS Junior Guard Zavian McLean: Expect him to win over some fans as well as turning the heads of college coaches that are in attendance. He has a very high motor, ability to score the ball, gets after it on defense and is a tremendous athlete.
Voyager Academy Guard Jordan Love: Coppin State and Chowan University have both already offered but the 6’5 guard is still available. He can score the ball very well, especially from three point land where he shoots a nice percentage. Look for him to have a bigtime showing and turn quite a few heads at camp, if he locks in defensively we could his stock truly rise.
Grace Christian Forward Julian Steinfield: He’s 6’10 with a very nice skillset overall but still is learning the American style of play while keeping his own style of being a big from overseas. If you looked at his rebounding numbers from this season you would be very impressed and offensively he has all the tools to be a very dangerous player.
