AOT March Madness Final Four Tip Off Classic Preview
Georgia’s own Nike EYBL Athletes of Tomorrow or other known as AOT, will be hosting one of the major events we will come encounter with this spring and summer this AAU Season at McEachern High School. Top programs from the southeast region will be participating in this function. Top shoe programs will also be apart of this event of course. Programs such as UA Atlanta Express (GA), Nike AOT (GA), Adidas Game Elite (GA), Adidas Atlanta Celtics (GA), UA B Maze Elite (TN), Nike Each One Teach One (FL), and more. Big programs eqaul top notch prospects. Here we take a look at a few key nationally known prospects that we should expect this weekend at McEachern High School.
2020 6’4 guard Jaden Springer – B Maze Elite/Rocky River High School (Charlotte, NC)
Jaden Springer is one of several tremdously gifted athletes we will see this weekend at McEachern. Jaden will be rocking with and running with B Maze Elite (TN) once again this spring and summer on the 17U Under Armour Circuit. He is coming off an incredible sophomore campaign with Rocky River after averaging 25 points per game this season and leading his squad to the final four. He has fantastic body control when finishing at the rim against the bigger defenders. He has the explosiveness to dunk on someone at any point whenever he gets in the lane. He can create shots and plays for his teammates. Jaden can also secure rebounds on both ends of the floor and have the awareness to create turnovers on defense. Hopefully we get to see a Brandon Boston of AOT against Jaden Springer matchup. Both kids rank #15 and #16 in the class of 2020 according to ESPN with Springer ranked at 16.
2020 6’5 guard Brandon Boston – Athletes of Tomorrow/Norcross High School (Norcross, GA)
Brandon Boston will be making his debut with AOT this upcoming weekend in the tip off classic. Brandon is without question a top notch propect who college coaches, scouts, and recruiters should keep an eye on. He is a lenghty guard who can hit his open jump shots and three pointers, especially in the corner. He is also a very underrated passer. His vision has improved this season and he certainly has the ability to make plays in the halfcourt offense. He is a versitile guard and is very patient on offense. Boston is also very energetic on the defensive end and has active hands to capture steals and create fast breaks, where he can score in transition. Brandon is coming off a state championship appearance in his second season with Norcross and averaged 17 points per game this year.
2019 6’6 forward Isaac Okoro – Athletes of Tomorrow/McEachern High School (Powder Springs, GA)
One of the most powerful and dynamic players you will see this weekend is Isaac Okoro. The junior forward, is what I like to say, huge for a kid his age. His size on the court helps him get through his defenders when he makes his way to the bucket. His 6’6 frame also helps him on the defensive side when guarding his opponents. He has amazing hands and awareness on defense which creates a one man show as he can definitely get the crowd on their feet. He is one of the few guards that can move with out the ball and has recognition on offense. Okoro ranks currently #40 in the class of 2020 according to ESPN. The future McDonald’s All American can without question move up in the ranks this summer.
2019 6’3 guard Brenden Tucker – Atlanta Celtics/Dacula High School (Dacula, GA)
Brenden Tucker, in my opionon, is one of the underrated guards we have here in the state of Georiga. The 6’3 guard has major upside in his game and we should expect to see him do what he does best this weekend. Brenden is very athletic at the guard posistion, much like a Dennis Smith Jr, but just not on the level as Dennis yet. He has outstanding bounce, which supports him when finishing in transition or inside the paint. He has the IQ to be a play maker and has the ability to create his shot off the dribble. Brenden has a quick first step off the bounce and he can blow by his defenders if they are caught sleeping.
