The 2019 class in Northern California is loaded with high-level talent and under the radar players that may break the scene this summer. Some of the top players in Northern California feature Isaiah Hawthorne, Jaden & Jovon McClanahan, Raymond Hawkins, Ezra Manjon, and more. Those players will be expected to increase their stock and level of interest at the next level after this last summer of AAU basketball. However, there are a few more players who may be under the radar that will also increase their stock this AAU season. Here are a few juniors that coaches will need to look out for this summer.
Zyon Pullin – Team Arsenal 6’4′ SG
Pullin had a good junior campaign this season for the College Park Falcons and is expected to do the same with Team Arsenal. He is one of the top outside shooters in Northern California, and his game is similar to a smaller version of Klay Thompson. His ability to come off screens and create his own shot will keep him on a lot of coaches recruiting list.
Miles Amos – Bay City Basketball 6’0′ PG
Amos will be competing in the Adidas Silver Gauntlet with Bay City Basketball this summer and will have the opportunity to gain interest from four-year schools. He has blazing speed and has a nice mid-range game. It will be very intriguing to see him compete against other top guards in his class.
Makhi Turner – Nor-Cal Tarheels 6’0′ PG
For the Weston Ranch point guard, this summer will be a great experience as Turner will be able to face a lot of top guards amongst his class. The Tarheels will also be competing in the Silver Division of the Adidas Gauntlet this summer for the first time which will bring more exposure to Turner. Turner is a high energy guard that is very quick and plays great on-ball defense.
Keenami Maggard – Team Select 6’5′ SF
Maggard may be one of the best pure athletes in Northern California. His jumping ability with the combination of his great size will always stick out to college scouts. Despite his great athletic ability, Maggard will have to continue to improve on his fundamentals skills this summer but there are no doubts that he will be a future college basketball player.
Emmanuel Adeoye – North Bay Basketball Academy 6’8′ PF
Salesian’s forward Adeoye has been a working project since his freshmen year and is entering his final season of AAU looking to possibly receive an offer. NBBA will be featured in the Hoop Group Showcase League this summer which will bring more exposure to Adeoye and the rest of their program. Adeoye has great size and has potential to be much better offensively as he works to get to the next level.
