Available Senior Report: Local Sleepers
As the high school season is now officially in our rear view mirror, it’s time to take a look back at what we learned over the last four months. Here we highlight five seniors who closed out their high school career strongly, but continue to go-under-the-radar.
ALLIN BLUNT | GONZAGA
People are starting to catch on to Allin Blunt, who was an unsung hero throughout his senior campaign at Gonzaga. UMass-Lowell recently offered him his first Division One Scholarship, but he’s also received reported interest from schools such as Delaware, UNCG, Radford, Canisius, and New Hampshire. The 6’6 senior, who can do a bit of everything on the floor, plays with a high IQ and a high motor.

ELIJAH EPPS | ST. FRANCES
One of the best players in Baltimore this season, Elijah Epps was a key contributor for the BCL Champs. The unsigned senior, who was named All BCL First Team, is an efficient guard who will bring outstanding versatility at the next level. Aside from his willingness to hustle at all times while on the floor, we love the fact that Epps is always communicating to his teammates. Bowie State and Washington Adventist have each offered the unsigned senior, who also holds reported interest from UMES and Coppin State.
DARIUS HINES | BISHOP IRETON
Don’t be fooled by his small stature, because Darius Hines has all the tools to be a very reliable point guard at the next level. He’s a work horse who spends a ton of time in the gym, and brings ideal leadership intangibles to any team. Throughout his high school career, Hines has gone toe-to-toe with some of the best point guards in the country, both on the travel circuit and in league play. Delaware recently expressed interest in the unsigned senior, who was named to the All WCAC Second Team.
CHRISTIAN JONES | ANNAPOLIS
Considered one of the top players from Anne Arundel County, Christian Jones is a nice sleeper in the local 2018 class. At 6-foot-2, he brings ideal size to the lead guard position. Along with his athleticism, Jones brings a high motor, consistent effort on defense, and the ability to score from all three levels while keeping his teammates involved. Tennessee Tech and Virginia Union have each offered the unsigned senior.
KENDALL MCMILLAN | MOUNT ST. JOSEPH
Kendall McMillan has been an important player for Pat Clatchey during his time at MSJ. On a given night he can do whatever is asked, and always brings max effort to each contest. McMillan is a lockdown defender with a high basketball IQ, but also gets it done in the classroom as well. He is one of the most well-rounded guards you will find available in Maryland.
