Breakdown: When looking at the class of 2020 with our group of power forwards this is where things could be special. Caleb Furst is a national level prospect, as well as D.J. Hughes. Curt Hopf is all production and will be looked at by a wide array of teams and Blake Sisley and Kyle Ross might have the most amount of room to grow of this group. Hatton and Brunk are also there in terms of room to develop as well.
The class is set to be really good and this will be where you see those standout players come from. A lot of that is due to their size, strength, and current skill level. Usually with post players and forwards, they aren’t that grown up this early on. Just isn’t a normal thing. However, Furst, Hughes, Hopf, Ross, and O’Dell are all already pretty big and pretty good.
Another key aspect to this group is with their depth. This is a bunch of really good players at the power forward spot this early on. When looking at other, older classes, they are well ahead of them. They don’t have that many guys in general and they weren’t as good this early. This is what makes this group special.
As for the guys we are looking forward to seeing this summer, Langdon Hatton, Johnny Brunk, Curt Hopf, and Blake Sisley are right there. They are the guys we have seen the least so far but at the same time, they are those that might be better during AAU than high school and they could all be in line for really productive summers.
