Breakdown: Of all of the position breakdowns in the 2021 class there is the least amount of ready made prospects in the small forward group. However, They also have quite a few higher potential players that should really improve and has the potential to become DI talent. Guys like Douglas Konieczny, Crishawn Christmas, and Kooper Jacobi are a trio of the most intriguing prospects, not just at small forward but any position.
The group above has quite a few things to look at including size, upside, and location. This group isn’t really based in the Indianapolis area. Most are from outside with places like Paoli, Loogootee, Silver Creek, Floyd Central, and Owen Valley holding down the south and St. Joseph, Gary West, Homestead making up the north.
As far as size, this group has quite a bit of it. Bosley, Konieczny, Moynihan, Morris are the only ones over 6’5 right now but guys like Hunt, Brewer, Christmas, Jacobi, and Heidbreder are likely to push well past the 6’5 mark at some point. There are plenty of options with more to come and these all have upside still, some quite a bit of it.
As we said, this group has a ton of super high potential even though they aren’t there right now. I’m very high on Konieczny, Brewer, and Jacobi. The development might take a minute but they are more likely to be the top three in the position at the end of the day than maybe any of the others. They are also the three we are looking forward to watching this spring.
