Last Look: Unsigned Seniors
Most of the 2018 class for North Carolina has been snatched up by colleges from around the country. In this column we are taking a look at some of the best available Seniors in the state that are still unsigned.
Jaylen Richard, 6’3, G (Jordan HS)-Richard is a scorer. Able to knock down mid-range jumpers, step out and knock down the Long three-point shot and athletically he is a player that will try and destroy a rim. He has offers from Kennesaw State, Hofstra, Tennessee Tech, St. Peter’s and Charleston Southern.
Caleb Mauldin, 6’8, F (West Rowan HS)-Mauldin is a legitimate college stretch-four that has a really good shooting touch from the inside out. He is a good post player that uses his shooting ability to stretch the floor and make defenses have to play straight up to account for him.
DaMar Sutton, 6’4, G (Northeastern HS)-Sutton is a producer on both sides of the ball. He does a great job of rebounding the ball and boxing out. He talks to keep his teammates involved on defense and offense. He has a strong mid-range game and can score off the dribble. Was named to his distrcit’s All-District first team with his play this season.
Zyrion Wilkins, 6’2, G (RS-Central HS)-Another All-District 11 First Team selection, Wilkins is a 1,000 point scorer for The Hilltoppers. He is able to score off the dribble and can get into scoring position coming off the ball. He has good size for the guard position and has had multiple 20-point games this season.
Elijah Lockhart, 6’6, F (West Meck HS)-long and athletic Lockhart was named SoMeck Conference Player of the Year this season. He can score it in the post and is a very good rebounder. He has an ability to get off the floor very quick and uses that to get second and third rebound opportunities off missed shots.
