And here is who stood out…
Keylin Vance, Jefferson junior
Vance came off the bench to hit five three-pointers and lead Jefferson with 18 points. Marcus Tsohonis added 17 points and Kamaka Hepa chipped in 11 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Matt Lang, Jesuit senior
The lefty sharpshooter went 4-of-6 from deep and finished with 23 points. Joe Wall added 21. Jesuit’s next game will come against No. 1 Jefferson, who ended their season in the 6A second round last year.
Bridger Steppe, Tualatin junior
Steppe scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half and the Timberwolves pulled off the upset. It was McNary’s first loss to an Oregon team not named Sprague since December 5.
Daello Portin-Chapman, Barlow junior
For the second straight playoff game, the Bruins were led in scoring by Portin-Chapman, who scored 24 points, including 14 in the final frame. Jesse White added 17 points. For Sprague, Teagan Quitoriano completed his basketball career with a 22 point game.
Bryce Sloan, Lincoln senior
In the most exciting game of the day, Sloan led the Cardinals with 29 points. In a tie game, Daniel Kovalev was fouled on a loose ball with 2.3 seconds remaining in double overtime, hitting the game-winning free throw. After their big win, Sloan was on hand to watch the West Salem at West Linn game.
Kyle Greeley, West Salem senior
In that game, Greeley was the focus. He was double-teamed nearly every time he touched the ball and fouled repeatedly. He finished with 28 points on 18 of 20 free throw shooting. Below is Greeley hitting a fadeaway on rare single-coverage. Tyler Miller started the Titans off with 8 points in the first quarter and finished with 20.
Kyle Greeley, limited in minutes, has 8 points including this fadeaway at end of Q2. He’s been double-teamed on almost every other occasion. #opreps pic.twitter.com/uyqECgxINl
