SW Metro Boys Athlete of the Week, Sponsored by RedLine Athletics: Feb. 19-Feb. 25
Drake Dobbs, Eden Prairie – Dobbs became flammable against Hopkins last Friday night, dropping 39 points in the three-point loss to the Royals. Most of those came in the second half to spur the EP comeback from down 20.
Anders Nelson, Edina – The senior guard is going out in a big way this season. Anders set a new Edina single game scoring record with 47 points against Holy Family last week, breaking the old mark of 46 set by 2013 grad Graham Woodward. The Hornets won that game 99-76. He added 32 in a tight loss to Minnetonka as well.
Cameron Steele, Minnetonka – The sophomore led the Skippers with 29 and 22 points in wins over Hudson and Edina respectively last week.
Charles Katona, Shakopee – Katona led the Sabers in scoring with 24 and 23 points in two wins last week over Rosemount and Eagan. He’s one of many promising sophomores in the Shakopee pipeline.
