NACA Champions
Friday night Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (HHCA) and Head Coach Zach Ferrell captured three straight victories on the way to the prestigious National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) Championship.
“Our boys just defeated Southwest Christian from Arkansas 72-60,” shared HHCA Headmaster Duke Stone.
The Hawks were lead by senior center Uros Plavsic with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Class of 2019 guard Jordan Rawls actually earned Division I NACA Tournament MVP. Kevaughn Ellis (UNC-Asheville verbal) scored 20 points.

The three victories came over Mountain Mission (VA), Word of God (NC), and finally Southwest Christian (AR). HHCA knocked off Mountain Mission rather easily, 60-35.
The Southwest Christian Lions actually defeated Hamilton Heights Christian Academy back in December during the Bartlett Invitational. Tim Ceasar, Shakur Daniel, MiyKah McIntosh all played brilliantly in that Lion win.
This week Southwest Christian Academy (SCA) strung together two wins, but when they faced HHCA the frontline struggled.
Late in the season HHCA decided to play Uros Plavsic (2018) and Jason Jitoboh (2019) together. Two players of 6-foot-11 or taller standing side-by-side presents a daunting obstacle. With Jitoboh serving as a shotblocker under the basket, Plavsic can collect countless rebounds. Again, the Serbian hauled down 10 rebounds in the win over another very tall, imposing team.
Sophomore Samson Ruzhentsev won the Dunk Contest. Tre Edwards is a wonderful prospect. And keep Wheza Panzo in mind. PrepHoopsTN currently ranks him 4th in the Class of 2019 rankings.
