It’s February and college interest, visits, and commitments are sure to continue heating up around Kentucky. Prep Hoops covers a weeks worth of recruiting news from around the Bluegrass State here:
- 2018 Louisville Doss guard Stephon Franklin was offered by Campbellsville (NAIA) this past week. D-II Kentucky Wesleyan was in the house to watch Franklin during the district finals.
- 2019 Pendleton County stand-out wing Dontaie Allen visited Western Kentucky on the Hilltoppers senior night this weekend. Allen currently offers from Winthrop, IUPUI, Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, and Illinois State. West Virginia and Kansas State have reached out lately.
- Top 2019 prospect and University Heights’ guard Dekeyan Tandy is now getting interest from Kentucky. He also visited the Wildcats this weekend for the Missouri game.
- 2021 big man Trey James (Sheldon Clark) took a visit to Indiana for their game vs. Ohio State.
- NAIA Asbury University was in the house to watch 2019 guards Carter Baughman (Mercer County) and Dalton Bruner (West Jessamine) during the 46th District tournament.
- Barren County’s Jared Coomer has finished his recruitment, committing to Air Force just weeks after they offered the 2018 stand-out wing.
- Newport Central Catholic guard Brennan Hall has now been offered by NAIA powerhouse William Penn. Hall visited William Penn just recently.
