2019 Atlantic F RJ Duhart talks junior year, recruitment and more
RJ Duhart has increased his value and made Atlantic a better team this season.
The 6’8″, 195-pounder has an offer from FGCU currently along with a long list of interest which includes Illinois, USF, Tulsa, Kansas State, UMass, Lipscomb, Dayton, Georgia Southern, Citadel and Stetson.
Duhart says he learned how to be tougher and play more free on the court and his style of basketball.
The Eagles host Leonard in a Class 9A region quarterfinal against Leonard.
Duhart is averaging 15.1 PPG and 9.7 RPG and his expectations for his group are to make a run in regionals, handle business and win states.
He says his confidence level has grown and that has led to an increase in scoring.
This summer, Duhart played for E1T1. He says it went well and it was good to play in front of college coaches. He also ran with 1Family. Duhart pointed to both programs as a big factor in how he’s playing now.
He pointed to his touch around the basket, his face up game, blocking ability and versatility as his biggest strengths.
Duhart wants to continue to get his body more college ready and become more of a guard. He says he models his game after Kevin Durant, Brandon Ingram and Anthony Davis.
For Atlantic, Duhart has been solid all season long and quite frankly it has been a breakout campaign for him. If the Eagles can make a run it will be with Duhart doing the dirty work inside the paint on both ends. Look for his value to increase further this summer.
