2019 Potential Spring Stock Risers
We are wrapping down the high school basketball season and about to hit the spring travel team circuit. Here are 10 players in the 2019 class that could be prospects that see their stock rise in the spring!
Bryant Brown (Waukegan)
Brown currently sits at #5 in the PrepHoopsIllinois Rankings after an extremely productive junior season at Waukegan. He is still being very under recruited at this stage. Brown is a prospect that has an opportunity this spring to pick up a lot of offers and make a name for himself on the national scene if he can show a consistent perimeter game for the Illinois Wolves on the UAA circuit.
Anthony Fairlee (Springfield Southeast)
Fairlee is a player that we have been big fans of throughout his career and he is starting to get some of the recognition he deserves after leading his team to a big season. The 2019 shooting guard is a freak show athlete and we expect him to blow away college coaches with his improved perimeter skill.
Dajuan Gordon (Curie)
Gordon has been up and down throughout the season, but we have seen him have two of his better games going for 20+ points. The long and rangy two guard has the athleticism to score at the rim and a clean looking perimeter stroke.
Tyler Cochran (Bolingbrook)
Every year Hoopers Basketball Club has a player that explodes during the spring/summer heading into their senior year. This year Cochran will be the guy. He isn’t the highest level athlete, but just gets stuff done and stuffs the stat sheet every game. Highly productive player.
Landon Wolfe (Effingham)
Wolfe is a bit hidden to many scouts and coaches, but we have been a fan since his spring last year. This spring he is looking to garner college D1 offers with his versatile scoring game and ability to get his shot off from anywhere on the floor.
Bryce Bultman (Nashville)
Bultman is another under the radar southern Illinois prospect that we could see gaining some steam this spring. He is a point guard with tremendous size at 6’4”. Elite passer and puts the ball in the perfect spot every single time. With his size and playmaking ability look for him to become a hot commodity with low-major and potentially mid-major schools.
Rashaun Agee (Bogan)
Agee has had his moments this season for Bogan. The 6’8” post is a high level rebounder that is starting to show more of an offensive game. It takes bigs a little longer to develop, but Agee could breakout this spring.
Jermaine Hamlin (Lincoln)
Hamlin is another offensively raw big man that is best right now rebounding and defensively protecting the rim. He is a kid that at 6’9” and with his strength we can see making the jump this spring.
TJ Wicks (Kankakee)
The last of our big men on this list is Wicks. The Kankakee four man has the frame and athleticism to make a lot of noise. The motor needs to run higher and the production has to be there. He definitely has that prospect look!
Malik Smith (Alton)
Smith could be a prospect that slowly moves up the board this spring and summer. With his size and athleticism he is intriguing and the perimeter skill is starting to come along. Look for him to be a kid that emerges in the metro east on college coaches radar.
