Upper State
Riverside 45 Boiling Springs 39
Riverside is going back to the semifinals of the Upper State again. Grayson Davis led the way with 14 points.
Dorman 90 Greenwood 50
The Cavaliers are looking to get back to the Colonial Life Center in Columbia this March. Myles Tate (2020) led the way in the lopsided win with 19 points, Lucas Peppers added 14 points and P.J. Hall (2020) added 12 points.
Nation Ford 69 Gaffney 59
The Falcons prevailed to move to 17-6 on the season. Shaman Alston led the way with 18 points. Khydarius Smith added 17 points. Zeb Graham just a junior became the All-Time leading scorer in school history with 1,012 points passing Riley Hilton. Graham finished with 11 points.
The Gaffney Indians finished the year at 18-8 and will lose 8 seniors to graduation. Bradley Childers a NC/SC All-Star Game member led the way with 21 points. Nick Agapion scored 17 points, Charleston Southern signee Sadarius Bowser finished with 11 points and Ladarrius Foster scored just 1 point.
The teams combined to shoot 70 free throws and committed 43 fouls in the game.
Wade Hampton 51 Byrnes 33
Ethan Girardeau led the Generals 25-2 with 15 points and converted 3 three pointers. Caleb Henry added 13 points, Will Edwards a All-State Selection scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Byrnes HS finishes the season at 12-14 was led in scoring by Josh Moore (2018)with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Kris Posey added 7 points.
Lower State
Blythewood 96 Socastee 61
The Bengals have 21 games in a row and stand at 23-2 on the season now. Jonathan Breeland (2018) led the way with 25 points while Tre Jackson (2019) and Robert Braswell (2018) both added 24 points a piece.
The Braves were led in scoring by Kendrell Generette (2018) with 22 points. Kassius “Jay” Williams a left-handed guard scored 12 points in the defeat. Andrew Gardner finished his career with 4 points.
Conway 62 Summerville 59
The Tigers move to the semifinals to play Blythewood. The teams met back on December 30, 2017 and Blythewood prevailed 63-60. Jimmy Nichols a Providence signee left no doubt and scored 30 points in his last home game for the Tigers.
Shaquan Davis a NC/SC All-Star Game member with Nichols finished the game with 19 points. Davis is headed to South Carolina State next season to play football.
Irmo 45 Sumter 41
The Yellow Jackets prevailed on the road behind 18 points from Winston Hill (2018). Javonte Young finished the game with 14 points.
The Gamecocks finished the season at 17-7. Sumter was holding a 37-26 lead with 4:31 left in the game and then Irmo went on a 19-4 run to finish the game.
Calvin Felder (2019) led the way with 13 points and Isaih Moore a College of Charleston signee finished with 10 points. Moore will play in the NC/SC All-Star Game next month in Wilmington, NC.
West Ashley 57 Spring Valley 53
The Wildcats move to 23-4 and will play Irmo on Tuesday. Wildcats Head Coach Ronnie Dupre is part of the coaching tree of Irmo Head Coach Tim Whipple. The two teams met back in 2016 for the Lower State Championship in Florence and Irmo prevailed 54-31.
Randall Litmon (2018) led the Wildcats with 17 points, Skylar Williams (2018) added 14 points and Shelton Brown a NC/SC All-Star member finished with 10 points.
Jamal Williams led the Vikings with 13 points and Julian Smith (2018) added 8 points.
