2018 Providence G/F Will Erickson talks recruitment, season and more
Providence has been a top-notch program in Jacksonville for a long time.
2018 guard/forward Will Erickson is a lengthy player at 6’6″, 190 lbs. The fluid attacker played a crucial role in the team’s Class 4A state runner-up finish a year ago.
He said he’s most proud of that run and his game has improved the most in his aggressiveness.
Over the summer, Erickson played for both 1Family and Team CP25. He says he had a lot of fun playing for both teams including a different group of guys.
No offers have come yet for the senior guard/forward, but he listed Flagler, Florida Southern, Queens, Belmont Abbey and Delta State as schools that have been showing him strong interest as of late.
Erickson pointed to his ability to get to the basket, handle the ball and play the point guard position with his height as his biggest strengths. He wants to continue to improve his strength and shot.
He fits the bill as a smart system player for the Stallions. Alongside junior forward Ahren Freeman, the upperclassmen pairing has been reliable all season long for Providence. Friday night, the Stallions meet Bishop Snyder in the Class 4A-District 2 Final. That game will set the tone for the postseason.
