Recruiting: Available Stretch 4’s (2018)
Here is a look at some of the top available Stretch 4’s who are still available in the Class of 2018. Most of them are solid Division II prospects with a few of them who could possibly be Division I material. All of them can play.
Gaven Pinkley 6’8″ Hillsboro: The versatile combo forward has enjoyed a variety of recruiting interest from Division I and Division II schools in the region. He has consistently improved his perimeter game over the course of his career as he has become a more dependable passer and ball handler to go along with his strong inside game.
Xavier Ball 6’7″ Hazelwood Central: A very skilled forward who has been a great addition to the Hawks after moving back to St. Louis from Texas. He has a strong body and a post game to match, but he poses big matchup problems with his ability to handle the ball and knock down jumpers off the dribble. He also has good 3-point range.
Sevon Witt 6’6″ Raytown South: A very skilled combo forward with a nice blend of size and athleticism. He is big and strong, but he can go outside and handle the ball and make plays off the dribble. He can knock down a jumper or go inside and dunk it, which makes him a very difficult matchup.
Adam Moore 6’6″ Duchesne: The last of the talented Moore brothers at Duchesne, Adam came into high school as an excellent 3-point shooter off the catch with good size. He has developed the rest of his game over the course of his career. He can handle the ball, score in the post and play solid defense while still maintaining that sweet stroke from deep.
Marty Jackson 6’5″ Hogan Prep: A revelation during the summer with NdaGym, the slender Jackson has continued his excellent play during the high school season. He has given Hogan Prep another big offensive threat to compliment speedy bucket-getter Damien Daniels.
Bol Tong 6’7″ Winnetonka: A strong forward with size and excellent length who can really knock down 3-pointers off the catch. He can really stretch the defense when he is on his game.
Matt Leritz 6’6″ SLUH: A solid combo forward with excellent 3-point shooting skills, but also has some reliable moves around the basket and a nice touch in the low post.
Pete Lake 6’7″ Jackson: One of the most athletic prospects in Southeast Missouri. He moves well in transition and has the ability to drive the ball and knock down 3-pointers. He will also dunk on you if given the opportunity.
