Preview: Class 3, District 8
The Class 3, District 8 tournament at Highland has several talented teams that feel like they can take home that championship trophy. Hallsville receives the No. 1 seed with its 20 victories. The Indians fell two points short of winning the district last year to a Monroe City team that is very good again this year. The Panthers got the No. 4 seed. In between them are No. 2 Clark County and No. 3 Centralia who are also very good. In the first round, Monroe City will face No. 5 Palmyra in a battle of Clarence Cannon Conference teams. Palmyra has 16 wins as a No. 5 seed. That’s how strong this district is.
